Brioche Bowtie Handknit Shoulder Bag

Brioche is a style of knitting which makes stitches look soft and pillowy, just like the brioche bread. Using Nancy Marchant’s stitch pattern of gulls, this shoulder bag was designed to remind us of blue waters and white sands during a beach vacation. The x-factor for this bag is its straps – they can be knotted at any length as per your style and need for the day.

• Handknitted in the brioche style, the gulls stitch adds dramatic flair to the bag.
• The lining is made of cotton, and gives a lot of structure and stability to the stretchy brioche fabric. Not only does it shape the bag, but it also reveals itself in the straps and the base. The sides of the bag have been strengthened with acrylic strips to prevent the bag from caving in.
• The straps can be tied as per individual length preferences. It can be thus used as a shoulder bag, or even as a wristlet if the straps are tied closer to the bag body.
• It can be closed tying the crochet cord around the subtle wooden bead.
