Japanese-style Folded Knitted Tote Bag

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth, used to wrap and carry small products. To knit a bag inspired by this, one would have to knit a rectangular piece, fold it and join the edges to form a rather unique looking tote.

• It is a medium sized tote bag, knit with white yarn to give it classy, balanced look.
• There are two different brioche stitches used to create a visual variety in the bag.
• The lining is made of cotton, and gives a lot of structure and stability to the very stretchy brioche fabric.
• The tote is meant to be worn on the shoulder, using the sturdy yarn cord handle.
• It can be closed tying the crochet cord around the This Knitting Bee button.
